UKFireman 0 Posted February 24, 2007 When in prone and then pressing either x to crouch or c to stand up then pressing any of the movement keys (w,s,a,d) it makes me goto the prone position again. This doesnt happen all the time but generally seems to be after taking a hit from the enemy. Anyone alse come across this bug? any ideas how to fix it? affects the save game to its very annoying this happening near an end of the mission and having to restart. ck-claw 1 Posted February 24, 2007 lol yepp- call for medic,or start crawling to medic tent!!
sbsmac 0 Posted February 24, 2007 In case you thought the two posters above were joking, this aspect of the game is a deliberate design decision - not a bug ! When you are injured you can be affected in various ways. You may notice your aim gets quite 'wobbly' for example. Being unable to stand is another.
Jack-UK 0 Posted February 24, 2007 yep, you can stand back up but if you go to move afterwards you will automatically go prone. You better hope theres a medic around somewhere :P

Tracer 0 Posted February 24, 2007 go third person view and then press + to speed up time (- to slow it back down) if you want to crawl 'super fast' to were ever your trying to go! I do it all the time when i'm injured.
Infam0us 10 Posted February 24, 2007 I'm more concerned about shooting when I'm injured, espically in the Czech version when surrounded by skyscraper grass aswell as a dodgy aim!
UKFireman 0 Posted February 24, 2007 Cheers for the replies! I did think the 1st two posts were taking the p**s but glad to know its not a bug afterall. Bloody annoying when your trying to do the AT Sab mission tho and can only crawl and no medic about
walker 0 Posted February 24, 2007 Hi UKFireman The solution to getting shot in the leg is not to get shot. As with OFP planning and use of cover are key. Use the maps to plan. Observe your route from distance for threats before you use it. If the enemy does not know you are there (stealth) they do not know to shoot you. If the enemy do not see you (concealment) they cannot shoot you. If the enemy knows where you are they still cannot shoot you if you are behind some thing solid (cover) Use concealment for movement. Raise your stealth and crawl when close up (~100m at night). Use cover when about to fire. Remember concealment is not cover. Cover is an object such as building or hill you hide behind. Distance is a great substitute for concealment and even alows a little cover. Fireing reveals you position so get to cover straight away. Remember the basics: observe, plan, rehearse, fire, move to cover and only reload in cover. Any plan to fire on the enemy should include where do I move to get to cover. It is possible to do the AT sab mission without being shot. I did a guide to that mission in the official mission thread but I am guessing you want to solve it on your own and not see any spoilers. Kind Regards Walker
