aqon04 0 Posted February 22, 2007 Dont know if anybody else experiences this but, after i am playing for a while or it goes onto a different map the performance drastically drops. The wierd thing is if i go into the video options in game and adjust the anti aliaising to 1 level up or down, it goes back to normal. Then just cycles through the same about 3 or 4 times in a couple of hours.
DaRat 0 Posted February 22, 2007 There is some kind of glitch with performance degrading over a period of time (I get it too, just not very often). Anti-Aliasing has nothing to do with it, it's the fact that when you change the AA setting, the game "reloads" all the textures etc. You would get the same effect by alt+tabbing (quicker too). AFAIK, It's not fixable yet, just wait for a future patch.

Jack-UK 0 Posted February 22, 2007 Its probably something to do with memory... Try using the maxmem command on the startup parameters or try lowering "Texture Detail" might fix ur problem.
CG Man 0 Posted February 22, 2007 X3 had this problem 10fps on 7800 256mb cards till they gave it a real patch they said it was something like to do with code not being efficent on the ram. My card 6800GT is coping well at normal settings 1280 x 1024 rez with the draw distance set at 700m. I alt tab alot as im scripting the kit for each troop. My worst problems at the mo is half of the sound effects cutting out till I restart the whole game and vehicles bouncing 500ft and some exploding for no reason. You gain alot of performance by forcing the weather to be perfectly clear in mission editor clouds shave off atleast 10fps performance on mine.

Rambo-16AAB 0 Posted February 22, 2007 After playing for 2 o so hours on varius maps the memory usage increases gradually to the poijnt of failure. I have a system monitor display on my Keybord, CPU usage is faily consistant at about 75%. At the start on the night, Memory usage was 45% after 2hrs its up to 98%. Changing maps on the server didnt help. Major memory leak in 1.04 ?
