AI plane takeoff

In the mission you can radio a plane to bomb something.

Only the AI doesn't take off from the airport but about 60% of the time. Why? How do you fix this?

Can you creat or put a plane and AI in flight without take off?

If the plane takes off the bombing run works fine but I wish it would take off or not take off. I really don't like it might take off.

This plane needs to be called late in the game. I can't have it flying around for 10 minutes waiting for the order to bomb.

You can have it on holding pattern untill called for..

I have difficulty in calling a plane to bomb something. Please any possibilty of sharing the commands you used for radio to bomber to bomb?

Your going to make me tell you? Ok

It's just a script of explosions. The plane just flys over and I use the ied.sqs script to make several explosions just where I want them.

I'll check out the the Creat Vehical thing. If that doesn't work I'll see about having him fly around until needed. I'm not against it, it just seemed better to have him take off from the airport.

I still don't understand why he only takes off sometimes.

Great - I found out how to get 100% takeoff on the runway by AI.

simply place a air unit (with AI) on the airfield with orders (waypoints ect.). Now place a second airplane (empty) right in front of him. The AI will start his engine but not move. When your ready to fly the mission just setpos the other aircraft out of the way.

Uhm. When it comes to calling aircraft (from ground, not already flying), the standard procedure from OFP was simply to setFuel them at the appropriate time. As so: In the init field of the aircraft write "this setfuel 0" (no quotes), or turn the Fuel slider down to zero. Then when you need the airplane to taxi off or the helicopter to start moving along its waypoints, simply put "AircraftName setFuel 1" in whatever trigger or waypoint or script you need.

I was working on the issue for fighters to take off. The best timing commands and guide for your fighter to take off and bombing in my lame view will be with the help of trigger. example is in diagram below.
