suchey 0 Posted February 4, 2002 This has been asked for before, however....Ill bring it up again because I think its a good idea...I would like to see BIS impliment an audio alert for when a game ends in multiplay for all those players waiting in the lobby. We have a dedicated server running OFP and countless times we see players join the server and see that there is quite a bit of time left in the current game....so they go do something else rather than stare at a list of names forever while they wait. Game ends, the player isnt back...we have to kick them off for not being available to "ready up"...what I propose is that OFP adds in an audio alert which will sound when the game goes back to the team selection screen...just using the air-raid siren that is already in OFP would be fine...that way people would know that its time to go back to the computer and play. This is probably something which could be done by a 3rd party program as I know that "The All Seeing Eye" can already determine what state an OFP game is in...however, building it into an official OFP patch would ensure that everyone has it greatly reduce the number of AFK folks holding up a game. Espectro (DayZ) 0 Posted February 8, 2002 I actually dont think JIP would be such a good idea... --- Oh yea, im not gonna reveal much, but soon there will be a new multiplayer map out, which is dynamic. Simple explanation: 2 teams fight to take over an island. Wheneever a session ends, all data will be logged (vehicles, sectors controlled, funds, players etc.). All this will be uploaded to a website, so people can see what state the war is in. Next session. All information will be restored, and players keep fighting. The ingame map even have markers moving, so you can see where the frontline is in real-time. The officer buys equitment for the funds (which u get from holding sectors). Its all in beta (actually alpha stage), but ive tryed it and seen it work. Dont worry guys, it will be here. You should look forward to it. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
