Softwrap still did not solved my license problem!!

Hi all!!

This problem started after i bought new hardware. Bought a Intel Xeon 3060, 2 GIGs of Ram and a nice Gigabyte DS4 board. With new hardware, new OS, Win XP x64. Well that started it all!!! After reinstalling the game i went to re-activate my license. Entered "license holder" and "purchase ref.", and "Activation Code not recognized. Please check that you have entered the details correctly"!!?!?!?! Ok, reinstallation, maybe something went wrong. Same problem again!!!! And again, and again and again...

Well, i mailed Sprocket. After one week or so i got the first reponse saying that the problem was with the number of licenses and that they were adding more licenses. Goodie goodie!!! NOT!!! Still the same problem. One week passed again and Mr. Martin Klima mailed me asking if Softwrap had contacted me to solve the problem. Responded that nobody still contacted me besides him(Sprocket) and that i was happy that FINNALY someone answered me! Well today i sent an email to PR of Bohemia Interactive, asking him to solve me this problem, since this is giving a bad name to Bohemia logistics!!

This kind of distribution problem is in no way connected to BIS. The problem you are having lies with either Sprocket, Softwrap or both, as they are the ones distributing the game to you. BIS does not control licenses or activation systems as far as I know. I doubt BIS can do much about this...

Had this issue once as well. And yes the only reply from BIS wou will get (if any) is to contact IDEA or Softwrap.

In my case IDEA/Sprocket emailed me they would add more installs to my account and the next day it worked fine.

Be sure that you are using your Reference# and not your serial number.

Well, Sprocket is the result of IDEA and IDEA is mainly the result of BIS.

The only company that keeps IDEA together is actually BIS and they are most influential.

So saying BIS !=IDEA!=Sprocket is kind of wrong

Where do you get your information? IDEA is NOT the same as BIS no matter how you look at it. BIS is just a member/co-founder.

I had this exact same problem.

Install the 1.2 patch (make sure you get the correct language version).

_YES_ I know the game comes already patched to 1.2 from Sprocket, but this does work. Once it is patched you can launch the game and it will accept your name and license. Don't ask me why it works but it just does.

Good luck.... I banged my head on my desk a good 4 hrs trying to get mine to work.

Let's say you buy a Volkswagen. Let's say the Volkswagen breaks down a week later. ( Which it never would because Volkswagens don't do that, but just let's imagine )

Now, what do you do in order to get it fixed ?

a) I go to the Factory and complain to the workers who built it.

b) I go to the dealer who sold it, and make him fix it.

My email to the "PR" of Bohemia Interactive was in desperate cause "mode". I know perfectly that BIS doesn't have nothing to do with my licensing problem.

I am only exposing my problem so that others can see what they may be in for by buying the game were i did..

I can't believe i was two moths waiting for a response from those guys when all it was needed was for them to tell me, was, "Install the 1.02 Patch and try again!!!"...
