CmdGabriel 0 Posted January 29, 2007 Yes, noone really likes copy protection on CD/DVD, because you alway need to insert the disc. (I buy all my games! But I just saw a "buy ARMA as download" site - does this make sense? How does Copyprotection work with that. On the one hand, I would like to have a manual and on the other hand a game without always disc-jockeying would be nice. Regards Gabriel
CsonkaPityu 0 Posted January 29, 2007 The downloadable version is the german one, which means it has securom if i remember right. You'll recieve two keys (somekind of activation key and the normal key) which you have to enter, once you register your game on a computer you can uninstall and reinstall the game on it at your leisure. But you have to register the game immediately after you install (when it prompts you to do so), because you won't get another chance, so you'll have to reinstall. edit: i think they give you 3 download attempts, after that you'll have to email them and ask for more. EricM 0 Posted January 29, 2007 I bought the Czech download version (later patched to english). Don't know what their system is, but after you registered the first time, it never asks you a thing. That's a bliss by itself. I will probably buy the 505 version eventually to get the shiny box, CDs and extras, but I don't think I'll uninstall my download version anytime soon. On top of that, the Czech version was rather cheap : 33 Euros, maybe 39 with IVA (need to check). I reckon the store version shall be more around 50+ euros...
