Make sure you are actually creating a LAN game and not just displaying them. It is one of the options.

Also, I don't think what you are doing is legal. I think you need a legit copy for every computer. Same home or not.

I've been told your allowed to have 8 players lan for every key. My question is how do I start a LAN game. I don't have a manual and I dont know how to do it. Any ideas? thanks a lot.

Start a MP game and when the screen pops up in the upper left corner it says ' address : internet ' click on it and it will change to ' lan ' and enjoy.

You could try blocking off ports 2302-2305 on the router... And also changing the reporting address in yoru config to "". I think the demo might be locked into public mode, though.

It's a bug - you can't do it unless you block your internet connection.

I wish BI would start supporting their game - unless they still on vacation? No words whatsoever on anything. Neither from the developer nor publishers.

gg BI - you lost what you had from OFP.

Although I don't share my colleague’s pessimism, there does seem to be a heightened degree of trial by fire for this game. Way more than OFP was. There is no official documentation regarding server administration or really anything outside of playing the game.

There are bugs and they are being dealt with as fast as possible. Faster than I have seen most game developers do. However since we have to troubleshoot all of this stuff as a community, we should have some visibility of your queue so we know what to expect.

Just my humble suggestion.

Sorry for the thread hijack, however the opening poster should now have his question answered.

Yea, well.. It seems that BI has started answering questions now... What a relief smile_o.gif

It would be cool if they released a list of stuff they are working on in patches.
