Montignac Must Fall

I want to play the Strange Meeting mission but I am unable to fail the Montignac Must Fall mission. I guess I am just too good. :biggrin: Any hints?

When your commander tells you to enbark the 5t truck ignore him for at least 10-15 minutes, and the enbark it. You should get a sign. Mission completed. I think that just the time is matter.

I don't know if this will work, but it worked for me, once. My team was still alive, and i was messing with some russians, when they have been already in the truck. It took me a lot of time, and i think this is it, but if you really wan't to get that mission, don't kill anyone and maybee your tem will be killed. If you'll have lucky. :biggrin:

In Anyway. I think that after montignac mission is better. Well. Just for me. You're a different person.

the after montignac was a bit odd because my entire team had survvied the first mission but they were all dead in the after montignac.

I played version 1.20 on my friend's comp and it appears that in that version 3/4 of the time the other 2 squads died as we approached the city, even though 1.27 AI is much better. I think they finally managed to survive on the 4th try, but then no truck ever came to pick us up. 1.20 is pretty buggy now that u look at it. The best way is to shoot all the other teams before they reach Montignac. I know Bravo team enters on your left as u approach.

v1.20 is not buggy. It's the best version of OPF. That version have soem new bugs, not detected before. It's very possible, that the truck didn't came because the wheels freeze. This can happend, only if you save and load the game, when the truck start moving. He's not always moving.

And, something about A.I. There was some imrovments in v1.27, but only for close positions. They hear better, than before, and they can see through bushes. This is the bad thing. I think that v1.20 is still better. v1.27 is better just for MP. I have bouth versions installed on my CPU.

Sometimes you die, and sometimes you don't die. The campaign is not linear. the mission can turn in a completley different way. If you don't die, you don't die. Revert that mission and you'll see that the next time will be different. Te enemy is not moving just in the places BIS command him to go. He moves, in the safer way.

That's then way it is. And sometimes, because of that, campaign may look strange.

I got less than 50 m into montignac before my commander tells us to retreat then we all run back to the truck and we leave. then i get "strange meeting"

How can i fire flares in that mission??

When reloading i only get granades for M16 or standard rounds??

Off the top of my head, I think you use the menu - reload flare (kind of like with the tanks...if that makes sense).

I replayed this mission and now it won't finish...

I killed all russians in Montignac and Provins. after the last fight I explored the area and destroyed the hind. As the leader just kept standing there doing nothing, i shot him. (just to se what would happen). A chopper came to pick me up, but it kept hovering in the air. Then I went to Morton with my truck. Nothing there. I expored the island. When I got at the airport in the north, the plan changed. I had to go to Le Moule. When I got there I got a call from 3 team mates. I became their leader and I picked them up. And since then I'm stuck. I almost explored the whole island...
