setunitpos

Recommended Posts

The setunitpos command doesn't work for me anymore.

Did they change the command?

If so, what is it then and is it possible to make a soldier go crouch?

Beacuse you can do so with the command menu now.

The setunitpos command seems to be broken. crazy_o.gif Units automatically switch back to "AUTO" for some reason. I havn't tried the command in a script yet, so try it and see if that helps.

You could probably make a soldier crouch by using the switchmove command, but I don't think they'd be able to move or fire.

Lets hope they adress the problem in the next patch

but now you can order your soldiers to stay crouched. shouldn't that mean that there should be possible to have a command for that?

Indeed, I also noticed the setUnitPos was not working.

You can in stead command your squad to 'Stand Up' and they'll stay upright.

But I wanted to make other squads also do it, like running straight into gunfire. *Wink*

Hope they fix it though.

Just a thought...

Maybe FSM settings are taking over and maybe you have to use disableAI first, (there is also enableAI in ArmA, dunno it works)

Just a wild guess cos I don't have ArmA yet. wink_o.gif

The setunitpos command has been reported as a bug in the Wiki and in the forums.

If it is the FSM doing this (or if not, this is still worth a try), it might just be the initial unitpos, like the way you can't use switchmove or playmove on initialization. Has anyone tried using setunitpos after a delay (like with a radio trigger or waypoint)?
