Ok here's my first mod for ArmA. It disables the weapon tracers!

You don't need to download anything for my mod.

To install it...

1. Start your game.

2. Click options

3. Click difficulty

4. Scroll down a bit till you see Rifle bullet tracers

5. Click Enable once on cadet mode and Veteran mod to switch it to disable

6. You're done hope you liked my mod!

I read somewhere about a bug in your mod, apparently someone tried doing that and it didn't work... It was mentioned in Cameron McDonald's review. Can we take this request seriously now? Cos I'd like to be able to have the option if your "mod" doesn't work for me either.

maybe you should have tested "your mod" before "releasing" it. because it doesn't work!

i'd also like to be able to turn the tracers of. and since this wasn't fixed in the last patch, a "mod" would be very nice.

even better: a mod that removes tracers on rifles and makes only every 4th shot on mgs a tracer (every 2nd or 3rd on aircraft mgs)

I have decided to close my modding studios. No further support will be offered with my mods.

I'll have a look through ArmA's config files and see what I can find.

EDIT:

Ok I looked in ArmA's config.bin and I found 2 tracer settings under cadet and vetern mod and I changed their 1s to 0s hoping that would turn them off. But I can't test it in game because I don't have a program that can make ArmA .cpp files to .bin without making an error.
