oblisk 0 Posted October 12, 2006 OFP CRASH REPORT: ===================================================================== == D:\Operation Flashpoint\FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.EXE ===================================================================== Exe version: Wed Oct 11 17:40:00 2006 ======================================================= Date: 10/12/06 Time: 03:58:59 ------------------------------------------------------- Exception code: C00000FD STACK_OVERFLOW at 09225AFE Version 1.96 Fault address: 09225AFE 01:00004AFE D:\Operation Flashpoint\d3d8.dll file: (Game001) world: Intro Prev. code bytes: 90 90 8B 44 24 08 8B 4C 24 04 56 8B 74 24 10 57 Fault code bytes: 56 50 51 FF 15 5C 64 27 09 8B 16 52 68 08 0B 27 Registers: EAX:09290080 EBX:00000000 ECX:00194400 EDX:0926A430 ESI:0013F488 EDI:092689EC CS:EIP:001B:09225AFE SS:ESP:0023:00043000 EBP:FFFFFFFF DS:0023 ES:0023 FS:003B GS:0000 Flags:00290206 ======================================================= Now, the game runs fine WITHOUT DXDLL, but then, it crashes often with system32/d3d8.dll being the problem. But I used to run the game with the DXDLL mod, and I didnt get any crashes. But recently the game stopped working, when I run the exe, the game screen turns black, and it just crashes right back into desktop. I know this is a common problem, but I have tried EVERYTHING. Funny thing is, it was working PERFECTLY 2 days ago. I haven't made and significant changes since then. I have tried these things, but still doesn't work: - Reinstalled drivers/Omegas - used "-nomap" - Reinstalled game - Restarted PC - Tried uninstalling "Windows XP Application Compatibility" but couldnt find it in the Add/Remove. - Lower the refresh rate in the cfg file - Disable EVERYTHING in DXLL GA-7VAX rev 1.1 AXP 3000+ 2x256 1x512 pc2700 sapphire 9700P

Mr_Tea 0 Posted October 13, 2006 I hope you haven`t copied the d3d8.dll into your windows system or system32 folder.
sniperandy 0 Posted October 13, 2006 Quote[/b] ]system32/d3d8.dll being the problem Quote[/b] ]D:\Operation Flashpoint\d3d8.dll That would be your problem, the file goes into your OFP/bin/ folder...
mr burns 131 Posted October 13, 2006 Nope. Quote[/b] ]x:\Operation Flashpoint\d3d8.dll Is the right destination for the file. I´m running it like that since DXDLL was released without a problem. Also don´t have a OFP/bin/ folder anymore.
