cozza 24 Posted September 9, 2006 The north probly dosnt have the money to buy new stuff. And why buy new, more complicated stuff if old stuff work just as good and is less complicated.
Capitan_eXtreme 0 Posted September 9, 2006 And why buy new, more complicated stuff if old stuff work just as good and is less complicated. Damn straigt! The Australian amry should never have switched from SLRs to Steyers! Regardless, as a old, hardline Communist country I wonder that the N.Sarahnis waste money buying AK74s when AK47s are so much better and cheaper.
Mogley 0 Posted September 9, 2006 I thought the north looked cool, I especially liked their russian helmets.
cozza 24 Posted September 9, 2006 The North look cool but I rekon the helmets need a bit of camo them, or maybe some webbing @Captian eXtreme- I do rekon it time to get rid of the F111. Those thing kill more of the crew than the enemy
Victrix 0 Posted September 9, 2006 I am more disappointed the way east looks whats up with the webbing from the 60s  If it's a fictional country can't they wear whatever they want Is there a storyline to this? How do you guys know they're not russian? Where can I find the story? even if they're not russian, or ex-soviet, the equipment they have is strongly based on the soviet fighting load around the late 60s...and its not even "modeled" right, sorry if i criticize too much, I'm aware of the fact that its just a game, but atleast do some research next time what appears to be an AK pouch is way too small, I dont even know what it meant to represent....but theres another one on the other side. Blanket roll and a shovel, we see it again... i'm guessing it was taken from a soviet field manual, not really a smart move, stuff on paper are always different than on the field, its not even practical to use in combat...remember that all of soviet infantry is motorized, and they only carry their fighting load while dismounted which includes ammo pouch, gas mask, bayonet or first aid pouch or a grenade pouch, canteen and a shovel might be included if desired. In afghanistan for exmaple, none of this crap was carried, ak puches were found to be useless and were replaced by chinese chest rigs, or improvised assault vests (jerkin), and even later in war a newer armoured vest came out combined with slots for AK, RPK series. Im not saying this is how it should be in AA but even todays Insurgents in Iraq have much better equipment to fit their fighting style. If you find this information useless please dont bash me ,simply ignore it and sorry for my english I am Russian
Placebo 29 Posted September 9, 2006 Is there a storyline to this? How do you guys know they're not russian? Where can I find the story? By reading any one of 20 or so interviews we've done over the past few months? Try searching this forum for "interview", or even a google search for armed+assault+interview, it's surprising what you find when you use a little brain power.
