Placebo 29 Posted July 17, 2006 Please do not post your DXdiag text in here, it's a very poor way to list your system specs as it requires that anyone trying to help will have to wade through lines of meaningless garbage, you should manually list the core system specs. wheres my rabbit ? 10 Posted July 17, 2006 have you installed any new gfx drivers recently ? and what version drivers are you running ? also SB live cards are notoriously shit with OFP google for "SB live turbo mode fix" as this can help with ofp + sb live problems altho i have no idea if it will help your crashing.. it helped me with nasty crackling and distorted engine sounds tho maybe turning off hardware acceleration in ofp audio settings may help also if it is on
Metal Heart 0 Posted July 17, 2006 So can you use the hardware mode without distortion after applying said patch? Is it for chipset or sound card drivers/config? I get distortion of engine sounds with sblive. It doesn't happen in software mode though but I want the effects (minus the distortion of course). When I switch to 3rd person view and back the problem dissappears but that is not possible when playing MP I tried kx drivers as suggested in some sblive thread but it didn't help at all.
