LOST SOLDIERS MOD

CGbros currently a small group of friends who set out to create what we desire. With our first project creating a mod for the new Armed Assualt. We are in development of making a new experience of intense war and interactivity. With fully written story lines planned out before page after page.

Campaign Overview. ‘Bloody Freedom’

The year is 2007. After long intense fighting for Iraqi Freedom, UK and US American forces start to send troops back home to their families. Elements of the 1st Battalion, The Parachute Regiment are still occupying some hostile areas of Iraq. Things have been pretty calm lately but there are rumours that the Syrian terrorist insurgents led by Al Tayyib are taking some revenge on the coalition forces in Northern Iraq, there are also unconfirmed rumours that they are being supported with weapons, armour and explosive devices by a Russian Smuggler group led by his somewhat friend Stanlislav Rustam. The Iraqi economy has not shown signs of improvement despite the fall of Sadaam almost 3 years ago, large military cutbacks have increased the support of subversive elements against the coalition forces and the situation is starting to become even worse...

Just when the nation thought things couldn’t get any worse, Intel (Intelligence) recently discovered news that hostages being held by the henchmen of the roofless Al Tayyib. The UK and US American forces are now sending in men from 1st battalion into hell to retrieve all hostages from the hostile locations. Playing as a solider by the name of SGT Tommy Aktins, you have to lead your men into the thick of battle, rescue the hostages and protect them at all costs. Iraq is on a highly hostile state and retrieving the hostages will be a task for bravest men.

Intel has recently receiving information on the where about of the terrorist Al Tayyib currently on the most wanted list and to be armed and dangerous.

Not the best of starts to be honest, it may be your first post but it doesn't take much to know the maximum image file size is 100kb, at over 6 times that your image is a little big.

So whats the hook? This just seems like an Operation Iraqi Freedom mod. Whats gonna make this better than other mods?

Yes we have some experience with the OFP engine...of course we are awaiting news on the new features that are possible, most of our members have atleast 3 years experience using 3DS MAX and Maya and now we are currently getting into the use of Oxygen. We have created Characters, buildings for other mod makers in the past and now we think its time for ourself to release one for this new generation of game.

We are willing to recruit anyone interested in our mod and that can help us with the project.

Your story is set in Iraq, and unless we have another Desert Island with ArmA youll need a new isle. Why not say the ruthless Al Sayyib or what is to be taken out and currently hides on sahrani...?

Once BIS don't have pics with Desert Cammo Vehicles i believe they will not make Desert Cammo Vehicles so from what i understand this mod will be running in IRAQ war so Desert Cammo Vehicles will be in => .: This will be a great idea!

Will be used by most Fans for sure.. (if addons are good, ofcourse)

hope they are and i bet they will!

I vote YES with Lost Soldiers MOD!

yes this is a campaign with fully explained detailed missions to be confirmed later. The mod will also contain addons like new units created by us and then used in campaign, new tanks, jeeps and of course a new island, fully equiped with towns woods and other little surprises, the map is currently being planned and will be posted soon. We hope to recreate almost everything we can to make it as unique as possible.

Do you guys have any solid software so you can already move on and work immediately on this new MOD to ARMA?

The Title is very interesting! im very excited with this new Idea!!

Yes we are using software such as 3ds and Oxygen when creating the vehicles and have models at the ready, screenshots will be provided as soon as they are finalised.

Here is a sneak peak of an upcoming model that is very unusual for the time our campaign is based, however you will soon enough find out why it has been added to the 'Lost Soldiers' Campaign.

Hi, im Dale Mooney, Lead Model Designer for the Lost Soldiers Mod. At this moment in time we currently have 6 members working on this mod at the moment, hoping to get more people soon. I am able to show you some earily stage buildings, more will be added at a later date and more on our website coming soon.

I have another question about the addons of that mod. (the Houses Especially)

If ArmA uses the dynamic buildings (destructible building) will those houses from Lost Soldiers MOD be dynamic too?

I don't know how this really works but i believe if ARMA uses destructible buildings you need their engine to start making buildings that can be destructed, correct me if im wrong?

i really would like to make some missions with that Mod cause it sounds good and inspiring.

when i imagine that IRAQ MOD (desert soldiers, desert vehicles, IRAQy citys, dust in the air etc..) i get inspired and excited smile_o.gif

Hope you guys have already a formed list of Units and vehicles for this mod.

Community fans can also help you guys with ideas/units/vehicles/houses/trees/bush/etc.. for this promising great MOD (ARMA - LOST SOLDIERS Mod)

edit: If your team what ideas, suggestions plz say here in this thread, i bet alot of people will help smile_o.gif

Im afraid at this moment in time we are going to wait untill we have atleast a website up with information, but dont worry the site is almost done and ready to post.

Armed Assault will have sooo many mods even before it's released. Think about it. We have all this stuff from OFP that can "easily" be converted to ArmA. So once we get our sweaty hands on the demo I'm sure there will be ton of mods ready to work with the final retail version.
