mc_conor 0 Posted May 16, 2006 hi, i'm new to the forums, i used to play ofp:e on xbox but then foolishly gave it away beliveing the 360 would rule the roost. how wrong was i. each new installment of previously good franchises are becoming to arcady and frankly shit, ie graw. i am hoping to get some info as to what version of ofp i should purchase for the pc to get the best co op multiplayer experience and was wondering if there is a group of fairly serious gamers to help me get back into this game and pc gaming in general. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Guest Ti0n3r Posted May 16, 2006 You should be able find everything you need to know in the Guide to online play for 'noobs' thread.
.pablo. 0 Posted May 16, 2006 buy the "game of the year" (GOTY) edition from codemasters' website (might have to look look around for it), it's only $10 (plus S&H). then all you have to do is install the GOTY 1.96 patch and whatever addons you're going to use for online play. for groups to play with, check out CiA's co-op nights (if they're still running), or the Zeus server co-op nights (if they're still running). ask around to see when people play. if you like realism above all else, check out the wargamesleague mod (aka WG, WGL), as they're always looking for new blood: Wargames Mod Wiki Wargames Mod Forums
