If the faces are weird, it means that you don't have the face in your Addons\ (or modfolder\Addons\ ) folder.

In the case of the toyota wars units, it is dma_facetex1.pbo

For the polish addons, if their faces are weird, you are missing :

In the case of the GROM units : facestex2.pbo

In the case of the OFPL units : facestex.pbo

So go and check if you have -really- all the needed pbo in the Addons\ or the modfolderyouUse\Addons\

yes i do what iv done is dl all GROM addons all over pluse DMA toyota wars units, and all of there addons needed. Then placed the face texts in the main addon folder not the mod folder and well they look right on the map but when i go to try to edit my person the faces look still screwed up? If got NUTs units in ffur 2006 and dma units in 2006 and i placed the face texts in the main addon folder not the 2006 folder, and i got csla mod with the GROM units in the addon folder but put the face text in the main addon folder. All of the units work fine, but the texts for the faces are screwed up. When i go to edit my guy all the faces for the face packs are screwed up.

Try this.

For the Toyota wars mod make sure the dma_facetex1.pbo is in the addons folder within the mod folder.

If your using units FROM the dma with ANOTHER mod make sure any and all DMA addons are IN the ADDON folder within whatever mod your running.

My suggestion is to leave the default addons folder and the res/addons folder alone and never put anything in them.

Probably not a good suggestion, but I've never had issues with the faces as I was making them, or now when I play them.

If the faces you see on the DMA units that came with the Toyota wars mod are screwed up in-game, you are just not putting them in the correct folders for how you want to play. OR you are running multiple mods and one mod is screwing with the other.

ok iv tryed it also that way putting the addons in the mod folder that im running, but the in game face looks fine now but in the editer for where i pick my custom faces and glasses or what not there all screwed up and i cant tell whats what. If i put the face pack in the mod folder that im playing for some odd part they are screwed up in game and in the editor, so if i put them in the main addon folder the in game faces look fine but still f up in the editer. I just dont know why its doing this i fooled around and dl and dl and all the same screwed up face texts in the editor.

So that's a totally different problem.

If you find the units face "weird" when you try to give them "custom faces" it is because the heads featured on those units are not BIS heads , and are not created to use the BIS face textures mapping.

example of BIS textures mapping :

vicdefault5vh.jpg

example of Llauma's head texture mapping

You have to modify your custom faces to use the new kind of texture size and mapping if you want to apply them on Llauma's head.

Ah, i see your problem, when you talked about the editor, i thought your were talking about the mission editor.

In fact what you are talking about is the window appearing when you click on your user name in the main OFP menu so you can change your own face.

The problem is that in this "face editor" , the head present is always the BIS head.

And if you understand what i explained to you with the different texture mapping, the BIS textures faces can't be applied on Llauma's head , and Lauma's head textures can't be applied on BIS head.

So if you try to select one of the textures that are supposed to go on addons with Llauma's head,

tex4oh.jpg

it is logical the BIS head will be like this

dfgdf3vi.jpg

There is nothing we can do about this unfortunately.

The solution in that case is don't select the Llauma's head textures if you use an addon that has the BIS head, and vice-versa.
