Shashman 0 Posted March 7, 2006 [translator friendly mode] No I do not think that people agree that the soldier's body parts are well made. There have been other comments made, like mine, regarding the appearance and physical attributes of your soldier model. They look too thin. They need to look more like soldiers, not airsoft players [/translator friendly mode] Hope that gets through better lol
CameronMcDonald 146 Posted March 8, 2006 Thanks for being our collective voicebox, Shashdog.

I hope that wasn't a sarcy post I just hope this model gets sorted out, because it seems he is only concentrating on the textures and I'd like a nice, complete ACU soldier to call my own

CameronMcDonald 146 Posted March 9, 2006 At the risk of being beaten over the head - perhaps we should give DLEM a break? The guy doesn't speak English too well - I just think he took Canadian Terror's comment a bit too harshly. Shall we dial it down a notch? I want these units released, not held back because he was verbally assaulted into submission!
Wilco 944 Posted March 9, 2006 Here's some ACU textures. Small, but you get the idea.
chipper 0 Posted March 9, 2006 Dlem I suggest you improve the ACU for woodland areas. Add some green into the textures so they blend in. For example look at the VBS1 ACU soldiers. They are spot on. EDIT: Also look at this pile of Digital Patterns, I circled the woodland friendly ACU pattern and crossed out the ugly ones that will make soldiers stick out. CameronMcDonald 146 Posted March 9, 2006 Hey Chipper - sounds like you're as enthusiastic as I am about these ACU thingies! Wish I had VBS... DLEM - how about it? I'm only planning to use your ACU in woodland areas in any case.
DLEM 0 Posted March 9, 2006 ok i will add some grenn color to my pattern, but i take texture from photo on first page Wilco thnak you, in the future i think will doing this, but now i do an emphasis only on model, And consequently now on model one big texture camo 1024x1024
Shashman 0 Posted March 9, 2006 Wow some people are really obsessed... I hope that random pile of random ACU patterned fabric wasn't yours Chipper...That would be...Odd
DLEM 0 Posted March 9, 2006 some green,on the helm old camo, on body new green camo but in desert now bad (
CameronMcDonald 146 Posted March 9, 2006 New textures looking better, mate. I think you should keep it that way - it doesn't look too bad in desert, and the camo itself is meant to be somewhat effective in both, which yours does. Hope your hand modelling goes well - perhaps you could use OWP's hands - they're excellent. One last thing: how many different soldier models are you planning on making?
