Ideas for missions

As the topic says I wuold like to have by the Opf community  some ideas about creating new missions (I'm short of...)

Keep in mind, however, that I'm not using the mission editor

in fact I create units or vehicle by scripting.

That's because of a simple reason: I'm working on a mission which allows the player to get the control of a base. He'll be able to purchase units (of any type) as well to conquer others city to increase his own credits (to spend of course in buyng new units and so on) and to make a differet kind of missions.

At the moment, user interface is almost completed and i'm working in adding new missions. But It's quite different make a mission using editor or using script.

So I need any simple ideas...

surgical anti- terror mission (a highly concentrated strike against a target), Escape and Evaision mission, in the mountencous region of Nogova (or all of it)

Some archetypes of missions i always keep in mind:

Patrol all corners of <area>, engage all enemies

Search & Destroy <object>

Clear <area> of enemy

Defend <area> against approaching enemies

Escort <object> until it reaches destination

Steal <object> from <area> without being noticed

Find <area> and call artillery. Keep reporting until direct hits are scored.

Escape from overunned <area> and reach extraction point

Capture <object> and escape to save pos

Setup ambush at <area> and wait for approaching enemies

Rescue downed pilot from <area>/ hostage from enemy camp

heres a mission ive done before: a village deep in enemy territory needs medicine.  

heres a mission im about to do maybe:

fighting has broken out between the FIA and Russia and

the united states is moving in to help the FIA.  when

they're finished its time to move out but they have a

missing person and its time to leave but the FIA want

them to leave immediately and start attacking the US

on their way out.  fighting originally broke out because

the FIA was against military occupation of their island

the people were.  Also they wanted an independent state

remembering the atrocities of communism on their people.

When fighting broke out the united states saw it as the

prime opportunity to let their covert war go large scale.

originally the army was stationed on the island helping

the FIA using green berets with an Army peace keeping

force stationed at the airport in case US interests were

in danger.  Now the united states has decided to get

involved out of the shadows using marines.

At the moment I've been myself able to "write" those missions:

1) Enemy attacks to your Base

2) Invasion mission : Player is able to invade some city in Nogova

3) Ambush to a Convoy,

4) Assault an area and Kill a Person

5) Defen an area while Cpu is attempting to conquer it

So I've another requests: Most of the (good) ideas you've suggested me, how can I say... in some ways, seems to works perfectly especially when player is leading a group of man.

Please consider however player is also able to get control of some Light as well heavy armored vehicles and of some choppers as well planes. Any ideas (for mission) about those last kind of vehicles (apc and air units)?

Hi,I'm new to the forums and everything that goes on in here, so if you can bear with me! Lol just kidding. Anyway, you could have a mission were you could be like an (example) F16 pilot and you have to take out key, stratigical targets in order for lets say, the infantry to attack or something. You don't need to use this but I just thought I'd help you out by giving you some ideas. biggrin_o.gif
