cbfasi 4 Posted February 18, 2006 Does anyone know how I can stop my general windows wave volume from being halved when I run bulldozer?? Currently when I run Bulldozer (either on O2 load or refresh), I can go into my volume settings and its halved, when I close bulldozer my volume restores back to the volume it was. Â (You can easliy hear the voume change too! Anyone got a clue how to fix this as often I am listening to music etc when making the moels and its annoying having to go and move the volume back up just after bulldozer kicks in. Couldn't seem to find anything using search so if it is there please supply link. Thanks in advance..
[aps]gnat 28 Posted February 18, 2006 Yep, got the same problem CB, you can hear the driver curning away for minutes after I open O2/BD. Then I have to wait several minutes AFTER I close them to run something else. Truely a memory/space hog !! I'd love to know what the hell its doing.
UNN 0 Posted February 18, 2006 I think it's the config you used from flashpoint? If you set your volume in flashpoint to maximum. Then exit and copy the config over to Bulldozer you should be ok.
[aps]gnat 28 Posted February 18, 2006 Duh !!! Gnat you idiot ..... Read "Volume" ..... as in sound, not volume as in "drive" .... No, I don't have a sound problem (I think XP does that by default) .... I have a memory sucked up problem.

Thanks in advance.. its normal - flashpoint does the same when you run it with music in the background - it reduces your windows sound settings - alot of games do this. not sure why, and unless you edit the game directly, i doubt you can 'fix' it. cbfasi 4 Posted February 18, 2006 I found a fix... Not 100% if this did it but its working now.. I made sure I used both my flashpoint.cfg AND userinfo.cfg I think its the latter which fixed it... (I overwrote the one in user/maruk under the 02Viewer folder) Hope this helps anyone else who has this problem
Silent N Deadly 0 Posted April 12, 2006 Im going to try that, it's really anooying when it does alter the sound level. Personally in the past I just set it when buldozer was open and I just left buldozer open.
