Cheetah (CnC) 0 Posted January 27, 2006 Hi guys sometimes, when i'm working on scripts for missions and stuff like that, i often have to go back and forth from windows to ofp. most of the time, when i press alt+tab, ofp doesnt minimize, i just get the mouse cursor and i have to click randomly in the region 'of where i think the flashpoint tray thingy is' and it'll momentarily go to the desktop and then properly return to ofp. this is frustrating and time consuming, and after a while, ofp freezes alltogether and my pc reboots. i was wondering, does anybody know if it is possible to run ofp in windowed mode, or else, how to fix the alt+tab prob? oh yeah, dunno if this is relevant: i run v.196, i know this never used to happen before resistance, but that was a long long time ago. I'm just finally starting to reach boiling point....

456820 0 Posted January 28, 2006 IIRC on the Ofp.info forums theres a post regarding this matter telling you how to fix it. Also ive also got a little problem here. I used to have a Geforce2 GFX card and alt+tabbing out of ofp used to be instant, but now with my new card a Geforce 6600 GT it still minimizes but will take a while to do around 8odd seconds its a little time consuming its no problem ive tried chaning my resoulution but still no difference. Any way of getting it faster. Like i said its no problem but it would be nice if it was as fast when i had me Geforce2

I've had my 6600GT for about a year now (very roughly) and the problem has always existed. I've reinstalled windows and ofp, replaced motherboard, increased memory, upgraded processor ect. along the way, but nothing has affected this. Nowadays I call it a feature, not a fault.. sort of like a Ford has lots of features, and no faults. Â /edit oh forgot to mention something to the real topic.. Yes, OFP can be run windowed with a switch as said above, or you can get Kegetys' OFPLauncher, which lets you select windowed mode with a check box.. along with other neat options. When I run OFP windowed, all is fine until I try to a) move the window or b) show whole desktop (ie. hide the window). In these cases my XP does a complete jam and I need to reboot. It's probably just me though.
