Sounds like it would make a great scenario for an OFP expansion.

Maybe we should call it something like "Independence Lost". whistle.gif

Quote[/b] ]Australian and Indonesian special forces will train together for the first time in seven years when the government lifts a ban on cooperation between the elite troops.

Kind of a misleading article. On one hand, "Bloodbath" makes it sound like the Kiwis did something bad (killing the people that raped and murdered civillians is bad?) and on the other they're trying to convince you that Indonesia is a threat to Australia and/or New Zealand.

From what I concluded from just reading the topic title, the SAS got slaughtered (which seemed unlikely to me)

My mate in the Amry who knows members of the current and ex serving SAS said it was real and it was kept pretty quiet.

An article came out in NZ newspapers saying our troops killed some gurrellias coming over the border - Timor but that was pretty much it.

It never said we nearly went to war.

It was short and sweat.

They would never tell us what nearly happened.

I came across that article by mistake a few weeks back and it

was quite a surprise buts its too be expected these days.

Also should be noted there is a large oil basin apparently off in the sea in Tmors waters if i remember correctly.

Thats the only reason they are there NZ and Aussie.

Nah, that would be down to the threat from Japan in world war 2.
