Osprey?

Recommended Posts

I remember seeing a screenshot a while back of Armed Assault in its eairly stages, and it had a Osprey hovering in the background.

With the new screenshots that have been released, there is no sign of it.

You guys think its been trashed? or do u think the devs just wanna "awe" us when they show us how it works smile_o.gif

you can tell flashpoint 2 apart from armed assault because it uses a more advanced shader and shadow system

plus the models and textures are just so smooth and chrisp, but i guess an alternative way to tell them apart is from the vest they wear. one is wearing interceptor armor...the other is wearing the old standard one

first picture is flashpoint 2, the 2nd is armed assault:

notice higher polygon models...and a different stance animation

using similar opflash animations>100kb

At least the woodland helmet shown in the new ArmA pics is the same as seen in the Game2 pics. The Game2 has probably a new skeleton model with better animated heads and hands.

When it comes to the graphical engine I think that ArmA will offer everything we see in the Game2 pics. So the real time lighting methods will be pretty much the same, at least at this point.

The big changes in Game2 might be the rpg style gameplay, vegetation rendered with sprites aswell as geometry, destructable objects, improved terrain detail and interaction. Depending on when Game2 will be released the models and textures will be more detailed too.

Game2 will look better but the big wow about it is the ground breaking game style.
