Large number of casualties possible. invasion from sea.Airborne landings before the main force arrives. Airborne:3 C-160 and 72 men. Task: 1. Eliminate coastal artillery. 2.Secure the port. 3. Contact with main force. 4. Join the main force and proceed inland. Main force: 1 US aircraft Carrier. 6 Mirage fighters. 200 men. Task: 1.Recieve signal from airborne troops. 2.Send fighters to destroy armour. 3.Land in the beach with boats. 4.Contact airborne troops. 5.Proceed inland. 6.Find enemy main force and destroy it. i've had enough of US against Russia so this mission is different. All suggestions are welcome. oh,btw. French main force is the one you see in mission. Actually theres thousands of men,tanks and fighters,you just dont see them in mission. First part "Airborne" -72 french guys attack Second part you will see 50 french guys landing as the main force is splitted into 4 . Other 3 will be in a sequel.. eestikas88 0 Posted November 25, 2005 so here i am again. i finished the airborne landing part and a bit of streetfighting it means that soldiers now land and split into two. A-teams and B and C teams A-teams attack town in west,B and C teams attack forces in south. A-teams do some streetfighting which is cool but if you are sleepy then it can be quite nasty. Screens come in 5 minutes so hold on. screens: airborne objective is out there somewhere streetfighting fighting market style i smell victory or is it burning flesh? (jeeps) mission(s) will be released in a (mini)campaign as i want to make you all happy. btw i coult fit 72 men into 3 c-160 so i deleted 2 men from each squad.and thats even better for fps because there will be some streetfighting alright.and 12 more men would cause a traffic jam in sky. eestikas88 0 Posted November 26, 2005 i think i will,but the mission is quite playable with 500 viewdistance and very low terrain detail.I must say very playable for this amount of men. about 17 fps.i had about 15fps when i saw all those parachutes.ahhh memories....all those days playing with ww2 packs.all those invasions... so i will search for some scripts. Now i can start making the next part.There will be mirage fighters and maybe artillery (maybe).But there will be armour so you won't get killed so soon. i keep viewdistance on 500 and terrain detail very low. i advise you to do the same.mission will take place in the morning and mornings are always a little foggy or what edit* Two mission mini campaign will be released before the next weekend.after that i maybe make a sequel for this campaign. more info soon. eestikas88 0 Posted November 27, 2005 Making of part 2 has begun! In this part you wont be anywhere near the harbour. (i tried a mssion around there and it sucked.) Mission will take place near the airfield in west.(so you will be main force part 4) This time much more urban combat. Since DMA Libya has to offer big towns i decided to make another urban combat mission.but before that you have to make your way to the town from the beach.And btw,on that way you got nowhere to hide.You have to trust French Airforce. also i wont make sequel for it. i will make a new big mission.still under name of Operation "Flashpoint",but with different location and armies. stainer 0 Posted November 29, 2005 Okay, I selected the mission on the Single Player list and read the overview. I myself prefer more mission-relative overviews telling what I'm doing and where I am etc. A picture should also be added. Anyway, I began the mission and immediately noticed the __cur_sp error in the briefing. There is a simple solution: type the name of the mission into the "Intel" section of the mission editor. Not too much of a problem so I carry on reading and am soon finished; you need more detail in your briefing, include links to markers and group IDs and so on. I click "continue" and am sat in a plane with my squad. After a few seconds here come the jump (at this point and before I thought some radio chatter could have been implemented, such as, "You ready guys?" "Yes sir!") I hit the ground and gather my squad...hang on what's this? "script erease.sqs not found", hmm. This prompted me to unpbo the mission and check it out, the problem is no more than a spelling error, it should be "eraese.sqs". I went on to load the mission in mission editor and took a look. I would suggest taking care in placing the enemy, i.e some troops patroling the outskirts and snipers or riflemen on the roofs. Another point is that you could include a paradrop script as opposed to triggers and also maybe an arty script to simulate a naval bombardment (get them at ofpec editors section)? I will test the other mission later, but the first mission does have promise. Keep at it. Â Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

eestikas88 0 Posted November 30, 2005 thanks hmmm...i thought that i renamed the script. oh well i'll fix everything when i get my homework done. v 1.1 is coming out soon. with Artillery it wouldn't be so exiting mission. you would simply hit all areas where enemy is hiding and the end. and you are damn close to the enemy so there might be a chance that you would die from friendly fire. but if you really want it it may include some artillery. eestikas88 0 Posted November 30, 2005 Fixes are done. added a few units and a mg that will most likely take you down... made a short radio chat.... hope that script works...i belive that the script in mission folder and the one in mission have the same names now. no artillery included. think about our computers,they cant handle it. hyperlinks included. mision name no longer _cur_sp its now what it's supposed to be. new briefing and overview (with a picture! ) if anyone can play this normally then say it here and post a screenie with fps .and then i will make a mission that i cant even test.
