orange juice 0 Posted November 13, 2005 with the release of the OFP demo in 2001 it has begun for me. Complete addiction to this game! Couldn´t think of much else then! After playing the game extensively for about two years i finally got out by selling my computer. finally,i thought, i got out... Now in again! Although i can´t even play OFP at the moment due to my broken 3d card i am checking for anything new on this forum several times a day, especially on the ArmA release, as well as visiting ofp.gamezone.cz for any new addon releases, not for the purpose of playing with them, in a weird way it gives me satisfaction by just looking at those screens, imagining what can be done with em! From the view of anyone on the outside this must be totally ridiculous. And there are loads of people that hang around here much more, supposedly doing similar things. well i think there are not too many games on the market that have such an addictive effect on their players that OFP has, we can congratulate BIS for that achievement. I mean why else would i part with nearly Å400 just to have VBS1......I still play the game a hell of a lot but i also continue to check the forums for any scrap of news.....I'm absolutley hooked..My only concern is that i can't offer this brilliant community anything except the odd mission now and again. meyamoti 0 Posted November 13, 2005 Usually the mods don't like us talking about VBS1 here but to sum it up,its a upgraded posedion engine,it can support higher resolution textures,no doubt has a different face mapping,you can stand on moving vehicles such as helicopters and trucks,I mean actually stand in the cargo area without collision issues or falling out. I'v been playing OFP I believe for three years,it didn't even take me five minutes to get addicted to it,one multiplayer game was I needed really as I was impressed at how the atmosphere was,gunshots everywhere,some shoting and then the 'damn such n such is down',I had to stop to take a breath for a moment and the islands expanded for ever,it was...is terrific,chances are I'm going to be addicted for OFP for a long time to come. orange juice 0 Posted November 13, 2005 i think since it´s been so quiet, more and more people already are highly nervous, including me, losing hope just to gain hope again and that regularly! it´s disturbing, everyone is waiting for ArmA as the big fix, just take a look at the comments on the ArmA homepage!
