Graphic card mystery.

Recommended Posts

hey again, i just ordered my new PC, and the graphics card features is a Ati X800GTO, but question is , what affiliated maker is it, i mean is it sapphire, or creative 3d, since i cannot find this product on the official Ati Site, so i presume the GTO series is one that is not officially made by Ati, so im not to sure about thi one, any hints, by the way i got my PC from "PC Specialists.co.uk"

cheers !!

I've done a quick search, and as far as I can tell, Sapphire is the only company making the X800GTO.

More info.

Many third party GFX cards usually stick to the reference design of the GFX chip producers for their cards. Technically, they often just vary in cooler designs or with respect to supported connectors (DVI, TV out, ...).

So indeed, it is often just the software bundle (Games, Utilities) that makes the difference.
