raptor 6 actual 13 Posted September 23, 2005 I know that in OFPAnim I can make like three different animations of swinging bodies that are strung up on the gallows. But, is it possible in the OFP engine to make a body swing in response to a gunshot. Yes, I know that someone will post that it was done in Brothers in Arms. I'm just wondering if I should even attempt it. Will I have to make multiple animations and tie them into scripts that detect where the bullet impacts so that the body will swing in the right direction? (IE: you shoot the guy in the stomach, he needs to swing away, etc, etc.) Thanks for the input.
EvEnLeaSe44 0 Posted September 23, 2005 I dont even think thats posible in the OFP Engine. Ever look at a chopper carrying a humve on a rope? see how the humve stays still and the rope dont move most the time. Most the time ive towed a humve by a chopper, the jeep lagging in mid air makes it skip, or makes it look like its moving back in forth. But really dont ask me, i dont know shit to what the OFP engine can do.
fubar_diver 0 Posted September 23, 2005 true, but many limitations of the OFP engine have been broken. So it may be possible, but i'm no expert.
Sniperwolf572 758 Posted September 23, 2005 1. Not possible in OFP engine, sorry. 2. Not realistic, bullet impact won't move the body, shotgun from close range might, but not regular firearm, to make body move or swing one meter, shooter must be moved one meter, according to Mr. Newton.
