krypus 0 Posted June 12, 2005 hey guys. Ive had my Ofp CWC for a long time and ive played it in the past but now it is not working. My sister just reformatted and i wanted to reinstall the game again. The installation was fine but when i try to start up the game, a banner shows up and says the name. I hear the cd drive running but the game just doesnt show up. Also when i try to install the patch, the same thing happens. Specs: AMD Athlon 1.67 Ghz 512 RAM 128 MB Radeon 9200 SE it worked before on this computer since it used to be mine and i used to play on this. Does anoyne have any ideas? Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted June 13, 2005 Did you check your version of DirectX? This could be the problem. Also; can you post a screenshot of the 'banner' that shows up (or do you just mean the banner in the taskbar?) and/or any other messages you get. But first check DirectX. Something tells that's it. edit; almost forgot; the drivers for you videocard. Make sure that you have the latest or at least the ones you had when the game still worked. I you formatted you rig, those drivers are gone of course and there are no drivers on you PC anymore. Windows will work fine (more or less) without them, but games won't. FrostBite said you should check your Directx, install the latest version, then click start/run type dxdiag click ok then when it starts go to the video tab and run all the tests in there.
