surf75 0 Posted January 13, 2002 when i go to play the game i get a message saying square textures are not supported by HW. Â What is this and how do I fix it. Â It happens after the Operation Flashpoint banner appears when loading to play the game. thanks
Mister Frag 0 Posted January 13, 2002 What are your system specs? Specifically, what video card and video driver version are you using?
surf75 0 Posted January 13, 2002 its an stb 128 velocity
Mister Frag 0 Posted January 13, 2002 I think you'll have to get a new video card, the STB Velocity 128 is not a supported card. It only has either 4MB or 8MB of video memory (depending on the model), and OFP requires a card with at least 16MB. The Voodoo2 with 8MB is the only supported exception. surf75 0 Posted January 13, 2002 Do I dl a card or how do i do that
Mister Frag 0 Posted January 13, 2002 No, your hardware doesn't meet the system requirements of the game -- you'll have to get a new video card.
Damage Inc 0 Posted January 13, 2002 Well that card sucks anyway so you'd have to get a new one one day.
benwycc 0 Posted June 23, 2002 does a nvidia riva 128ZX meet the requirements?

Mister Frag 0 Posted June 23, 2002 Then it may work on the Riva 128ZX. But I would check first to see how much memory is in that system, because the 8MB limit is the most it can handle, there are systems with less.
theavonlady 2 Posted June 23, 2002 I can tell you that I once tried playing OFP on a Dell with an onboard ATI RAGE PRO AGP 2X 8MB chip and I could not get normal screens under any circumstances.
ale2999 0 Posted June 23, 2002 ok here the deal, Mr frag is completely right, the cards that u two boys have r not good. The problem is some feature set of this video card is extremely limited - it can handle only square textures, not rectangular - which is necessary to play OFP. This is exactly what error message says: "Square textures are not supported by HW".
