Thunderbird 0 Posted January 26, 2005 Hi I've done a GUI with photoshop , i've registred the file to tga , but when I try to convert the tga to paa with texview , the size of the file change from 100 ko to 1 ko Please help Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Footmunch 0 Posted January 26, 2005 There is supposed to be a reduction in file size. Like jpeg, paa/pac is a (lossy) compressed file format. What size is your tga, in terms of number of pixels? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Status_cz 0 Posted January 26, 2005 ofp (or textviev like here) support sizes 8,16,32,64,128,256,512,1024,2048... you can convert textures into paa/pac only in this sizes.for a sample 1024x128 etc. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
sanctuary 19 Posted January 26, 2005 And instead of using Texview for the conversion, you should use the utility made by feersum.endjinn : PAA Tool. You can find it in this thread When i retextured for private usage some units, PAA Tool has converted tga textures into paa/pac with a better result, there were less compression artefacts ingame than when i was using Texview. But , at the origin you need to have your tga in 32 bits , PAA Tool will not convert a 16 bits tga . Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
