Planes attack runs

Was just wondering if there was a easy way to fix the AI so they don't fly so low when attacking,. I mean they fly into houses etc while firing missiles. I swear its asif the AI are trying to do a fly-by shooting.

Anyway I heard of some people resolving this issue and just wondering if this can be applied to any aircraft. Wish there was a command like MinimalAttackHeight or something, sigh.

hmm u coudl try to check if the plane has targeted sth and set it to a new flyinheight value

if its not set it back to average which is 100

To be honest this is mainly because of the original A10. A10's are supposed to dive down on their targets for low level attacks. So i think the scripting for all planes is down to BIS doing the A10, and forgettin bout the other aircraft.

I had similar problem in the Skyhawk and Harrier on low straffing or bombing runs, so a couple of things to check:

1. in the config.cpp these might be too high or too low

aileronSensitivity

elevatorSensitivity

2. in the model:

Check your "zamerny" position in the memory lod. I found that this should be about the model's center of gravity. If it doesn't have one create it.

what should I put for:

aileronSensitivity

elevatorSensitivity

for lets say a f18/f16 etc etc..

Also those 2 values won't ruin how the planes handle will it? its just a AI thing?

PS. zamerny is in the cockpit, about centre of plane.

Also setting the minrange on the weapons/ammo higher will determine how close they will use the weapons
