Sniper_Kyle 0 Posted October 23, 2004 I was just wondering, how do you make it so that your monitor doesnt turn off after a long period of time? Im wondering because I keep trying to watch a movie and my screen turns off all the time and i have to keep moving my mouse to keep it on Help
Viper200 0 Posted October 23, 2004 You have to right click on your desktop, then goto properties, then under the screensavers tab, click on power, then change turn off moniter to never, or however long you want it to wait before turning it off.
FSPilot 0 Posted October 23, 2004 ^what he said^ It's a power saver feature that cuts down on your energy bills and probably helps your monitor last longer too.
gandalf the white 0 Posted October 24, 2004 isn't that disabled when using Windows media player (and perhaps others?) . 1) what version of windows are you using. 2) what are you viewing the movies with?
CrackerJack 0 Posted October 24, 2004 If you get a cracking noise while moving the monitor cable then you should probably replace it. I have changed to two monitors within a year
Acecombat 0 Posted October 24, 2004 Go in to Control panel >> Power options > open it and in there you'll find the options to set your monitor off whenever you want and other things too.
