gandalf the white 0 Posted October 18, 2004 little textures use 4096 X 4096 textures i've used the word "little" ,but you can take it as a "none", because i don't think anyone is stupid enough to spend THAT much time on textures, where the diffrence is barely noticable... btw, most islands don't use textures over 512 X 512 , so put it down to that and save allot of CPU power! . thanks to Blackdog.. i believe who told me that! EDIT: made the 3 a 4...
Vectum 0 Posted October 18, 2004 little textures use 3096 X 4096 textures  i've used the word "little" ,but you can take it as a "none", because i don't think anyone is stupid enough to spend THAT much time on textures, where the diffrence is barely noticable... btw, most islands don't use textures over 512 X 512 , so put it down to that and save allot of CPU power!  . thanks to Blackdog.. i believe who told me that!  Quote[/b] ]3096 X 4096  ? i can't use those :P i can use till 2048x2048 , not any further.. :P but thanx 4 the answer , now i need a solution for my sound .. :S Edit : mmhz , now i hear from both my back speakers & front , but not the wanted effect ... i just want , if a vehicle is in the back of me , all the sound back of me ? , why isn't it like that ?? lee_h._oswald 0 Posted October 18, 2004 You have an ATI graphics adapter, right? If yes, 2048 max is correct. MfG Lee
llauma 0 Posted October 19, 2004 I don't think OFP supports textures bigger than 1024x1024. I tried bigger when I was testing sky textures but the game crashed when I started it. So even if I put the settings on 4096x4096 it will be 1024x1024 when available.
kegetys 2 Posted October 19, 2004 I don't think OFP supports textures bigger than 1024x1024. 4096x4096 textures work fine for me.

Jezz 0 Posted October 19, 2004 i have a shilka that has textures 4096x2048 and 1024x512 though there are only two of them in the entire addon becasue hes put all the textures for that one vehicle on those two textures.
Messiah 2 Posted October 19, 2004 there's always the option of making the textures at 4096 and then sizing them down after they're finished... it means to some extent you keep the detail but reduce the size and cpu drain they bring
nephilim 0 Posted October 20, 2004 works fine for me will prolly use such for the uap to get some extra detail as long other requests are made
