Some questions I have about OFP *issues*

1: has there been any fix/change to the excessive smoke from firing tank guns.. it looks like they are shooting black powder for gods sake.. way way too much smoke staying for way way too long. has anyone made a patch, unoffical or not to change this? its rather annoying aside from unrealistic.

2:when I had OFP before I got a sound file for the M16 that made it sound MUCH MUCH better than the regular one.. more of a CRACK!!! than the BOCK ! that you get with the regular.

3:where did the Javeline go?

4:it sure seems the ROF of the Bradley is a bit high, I dont have any technical data (yet) but ive seen it fired before and it just didnt seem that fast..

5: tha damn exploding bullets... of the shilka, Vulcan and even to an extent the Bradley.. anyone patch/fix this? the shilka and vulcan rounds shouldent explode.. accept maby when hitting a hard target (tank/truck..etc) and the bradley's bullet explosions are quite a bit exagerated from what ive seen IRL.

6: this is a new one.. the game runs as smooth as glass untill i look at a forest.. then it gets all jerky NOT like its an fps problem... it only does this when looking through a tank sight or scope no matter the X zoom, again this is NOT an FPS issue.

7:handgrenades exploding on impact? what the hell? Im aware that there are such grenades but there is no way they should be the ONLY option much less the regular one.. I know a bouncing object can be modelled in OFP just fine.. just shoot a UAZ with a LAW biggrin.gif why not some normal grenades?

thats about it.. Ive been gone a while from the game itself and the forum, so i need catching up

I agree, the grenade needs a timed fuze. There is too much smoke from a tank's main gun but I have'nt noticed the visual problem when looking at a forest through the main sight.

The rate of fire for what weapon? the 25mm cannon? If so, it is only slightly faster from what I've seen.

I'm not sure of any sound mods, but they would be nice. The weapon sounds in OFP are too generic. Some realistic loadouts would be nice too. The coaxial MG in a tank holds thousands of rounds, not just 500.

did you look at the sound files I pointed you to in the last thread you started about sound Here's the link to the thread

I'm waiting for Satchel to release his sound mod, but I like this one a lot as well. The Sniper rifles have a huge presence. The m-16 has a nice pop as well. I'd give it a run to see what you think.

I find that fps drag looking through a scope as well, but this is in most games. Ghost Recon slows down if you zoom and other games as well. My guess is that is has something to do with how things are rendered and the detail being shown in the scope.

Do you mean the mouse lag issue?
