Changeing Water Texture

hi

how can i change teh water texture?

so i can use it liek silesian water?

i tried replacing the water textures in the data.pbo by custom ones

once fromteh res and once form the ofp directory

but didnt work

any help?

Either download a retextured water pack and find the "moreanim"0-7 files, or unpbo data.pbo(right?) in your Res/dta and get those, then open them up in texview and convert then, and pop them into a nice paint program like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. Then pbo them back up into the "Data.pbo", that's it.

well i repalce teh default ones with custom ones

took the teh water textures from the res/data.pbo

but

the water still looks liek the normal ofp water

i knwo how to edit them with painting progs

it just didnt work replacing them...

install llaumax

and remove the custom water texture files first, DXDLL's reflective water only runs in "stock" water unfortunetly sad_o.gif .

wot u mean exactly?

i ddont really wa to get llaumax too big for me i think...

Llaumax is only a couple megs, you should get it, it looks  better than Far cry's sky, a must have smile_o.gif .

It comes with Kegs instaler, you can install the sky, stars and so called new moon and Silesians custom water textures.

Now for reflective water to work i removed the water files before running the instaler (reflective water only works with BIS water), you can replace the water texture files with your own files if you want and then install them using kegs installer.

I dont remember what files to replace but you can find more info about this in the Llaumax thread, its quite simple smile_o.gif .
