UK Bing drinking

Hey all,

Imextreamly board,hung over,and trying to remember the previous night...

Then i decided to make this topic!

On the news alot recently theres been alot about 'binge drinking' in the UK,and i was intrested to see what you (mainly people from the UK) think about it? and why so many british men and women go out every weekend to consume dangrous amounts of alchol and cause violence. And why theres so many underage kids drinking and causing havoc.

and if any one asks im 18

I dunno, i don't indulge in much binge drinking, but i think theres a psychological problem in Britian in that people cant distinguish between having fun without having a drink....people think, if your not getting drunk, it cant be fun. I call that pretty stupid, but....

i agree with you there mate. i dont binge drink and i never had, well i have once and i was very sick after (one too many) so i wish to forget it.

I don't drink often, but when I do, I usually get quite drunk. However, as soon as I'm nicely toasted, I start drinking soft drinks or water instead. I think the problem is people who get drunk, then carry on drinking and drinking.

Actually, the reason people get loaded on the weekend is due to the antiquated UK licensing laws.

Most people go into town or  the city at around 8.00 pm, the pubs shut at 11.00. So you get people drinking quickly and downing the most potent drinks. That way, when the pubs shut and you go to a club, you're too drunk to question the barmaid when she asks for Å2.50 for a bottle of water.

The binge drinking British mentality of recent years makes me want to puke, pathetic boorish people, one of the elements of British society I'm glad I left behind, unfortunately they all like to come to Prague because it's cheap, the sooner the police start to stamp down on them the better.

And I don't think this is a topic worthy of discussion, it and them can stay in the gutter, perfect place
