OFP Crashes

Recommended Posts

EECP and FDF work fine but regular OFPR does not crazy_o.gif

Once i double click OFPR the little banner comes up saying OFPR. Then a window comes up saying addon dkm_rsc requires verson 1.92 of application and i have 1.96! crazy_o.gif

Once i hit okay it continues and it loads up and right when the menu comes up it crashes to desktop saying cannot memory-map file 'RES/addons/o.pbo'

Help?

Psychic Placebo says 1. You didn't search and 2. You're not using -nomap? smile_o.gif

Hmm you're sure it's in there correctly? -nomap always fixes it sad_o.gif well combined with mod folders and AGP aperture size of 128mb or less smile_o.gif

I suspect that maybe you put the -nomap switch on the wrong shortcut, because OFP shouldn't be trying to memory-map anything if it saw that switch present.

The other thing that is suspicious is that you have 1.96 and addons are still claiming that you have an older version. Are you sure you are dealing with the correct shortcut for FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.EXE?

Really it's just a shortcut to notepad with a different icon and renamed wink_o.gif

Try adding the mod last, don't see why it'd make a difference but you never know smile_o.gif

Help?

1-Re-install DKM-UK pack.

2- Did you install new anims ?

If yes, did you correctly installed them ?

O.pbo in RES/Addons/O.pbo

Anim.pbo in RES/Data/Anim.pbo

It only happens with ECP? The ECP shortcut by default points to the "flashpointbeta.exe" while without mods its giong to "flashpointresistance.exe". Either change it to "flashpointbeta.exe" or download the release candidate 1.96 patch instead of the beta.

No it WORKS with EECP and FDF it does NOT work with OFP.

Don't the FDF and EECP shortcuts have -nomap added by default? My FDF shortcut has -nomap -nosplash, no idea if I added that myself. Again makes me think there's something, somehow, somewhere gone wrong with your normal Opf shortcut sad_o.gif

You're using XP right? Can't see why it would make a difference but remove the " " around your shortcut, mine doesn't have them smile_o.gif

This may sound wierd but make sure you didnt delete your bin config in either the res folder or the original.it sounds like you did cuz mods use a config based off of the res config.bin files.

So you may have deleted them by accident and you may need to reinstall.

Better way to describe.Check to see if your config.bin file is in your res/bin.
