It is a "user friendly" firewall soft, I guess. Let me guess: you are connected, turned on your OFP and then multi. That's what happened next:

-firewall asked u (in the background, so u can't see this) if U will allow this app to access internet.

-OFP locked itself.

That's what U have to do:

-go to your firewall control panel and add OFP to apps allowed to access internet.

BTW, I hate zone alarm. I haven't seen a bigger crap yet.

Go to your connection properties in control panel. Then right-click on the connection u are using and choose properties. Then find advanced and on the top of that page u'll find a place of WIN XP firewall.

Are you using DirectPlay or Sockets? If you are using DirectPlay, run DXDIAG.EXE, go to the Network tab, and make sure that there are no problems with the registry keys for the network providers, especially TCP/IP.

Check and doublecheck that the firewall gives permission to the right/most recent exe (FLASHPOINTBETA.EXE in my computer).

I do not use a fire wall.

Remove all the viruses and spyware from your pc and try again.

AFAIK Zonealarm has a nasty habit of protecting your pc, even when it's off, in some cases even if it's uninstalled. That's what my Isp told me. And i can confirm that it is the case.

ATLAS Blade, what anit-virus software are you running?

When was the last time you did a full AV scan of your disks?

When was the last time you checked for spyware?

I haven't heard anything about that, put I have used ZA in the past, and IMO it sucks. Its the whole "I know better than you do" attitude of it, like when it shuts off your internet connection because it thinks your being attacked. I really like Agnitum Outpost(though I've heard many good things about Sygate and it was pretty good when I tried it, other than the fact that it had a habit of killing my network connection, even when it showed it wasn't blocking anything).
