have you applied the patches? Most servers are running 1.96 version.

did you connect to a server which required addons you don't have? When you're kicked, a line with what your OFP misses should be written on top of the screen. If it doesn't appear, look to the sevrer list to see what addons are installed on the server you want to connect or try reconnect to see what you need (to get the error message on top of the screen).

Whats the point of waiting ## mins just to play and find it that it's a crap map and realise that youve wasted 30 mins of your life....

No OFP doens't support Join in progress.

You'll have to wait until everybody is ready in the waiting room.

Bit of a crappy system though

Miss a game by 1 minute and you have to wait 59 mins, and as soon as you get in game its a crap map, or everyone has left :\

You could ask the admin if he restarts the game for you. We normally do this on our server for regular players.

Does your server use OFP watch, I might join you, and does it have a decent amount of players, not just 4

Yes, we do run OFP Watch. You could just start OFP Watch and go to the server browser and select the server with the most players on it and reasonable ping and go there.

Or use a utility such as OFP watch and join when the status changes to 'waiting' after 'game in progress' - automatically.

The good thing about this system is that there's less impatient CS types.
