Also a bit of an update.

I've been working away from home recently and only had my old laptop...it just about runs ofp but runs O2 nicely. I found and old project on it and thought i'd give it a face lift

The pack will consist of 3 variants:

U-2S Dragon Lady

U-2R (Podded)

U-2R (Slick)

I know there will be people pulling faces asking "why has he made that!? Its no use in game." The answer is simple.

REALISM...OFP has a derth of recon planes and recon elements. Recon and Intel gathering is a huge part of a military actions. How about using it as a target for infiltration missions? Shoot it down to prevent your forces being discovered...but the other reason....I wanted to make it.

I'm home for a few weeks now so I should be releasing the Hanger and HAS Beta's in the very near future together with a few others.

Put a 'Get Out' objective near the runway that you want the plane to land.(WTF,i tried this on the A318 but just keeps on flying   )

 I did it on Martin's splendid Dc3,and landings were very nice with this nbaby.

Ok just a bit of an update...

If anyone has been to my site today you will have noticed its been down this is because someone tried to hack it.  The nature of the attack was very crude and they seem to have been unable to do anything other than corrupt the site config by attacking a little know SQL exploit.  They did however leave me a little note:

Obviously its someone in the community and i have a good suspicion as to who it is.  My ISP has been very helpful in back tracking the culprit so i have a host name and Location.  We've reported it to the scumbag's ISP so now we're just waiting to hear...not that i'm holding my breath.  

Anyway a warning to anyone running a PHPNuke based site...you may want to upgrade and patch you sites. Nuke Resources are currently hosting fully patch versions of the Nuke code.  Its worth a look.

Wow I'm in awe at that comms facility package, looking stunning and a very good idea too. We really need more military facilities Oh and about your site I don't know if it's a result of the hacking, but when I try and download the light tower, it just refreshes the page...

OK bit of an update:

I'm still here still working quietly if somewhat slowly away in the shadows.

I've been distracted of late by Star Wars Galaxies Jump To Lightspeed BETA...not bad until the DEV's screwed with the mass eradicating the need for shipwrights. Shame really was good right upto that point.

Couple of things going on with RKSL Studios.

The RKSL U-2 Pack is unique, its 100% new made in 02 with a low poly count and totally new textures. Anyone that thinks or wants to suggest otherwise should get their facts straight before making accusations.

HAS Pack will be released shortly too however it may be skimmed down to 2 different types of shelter rather than the previous 3. This is due to a technical problem i cant pin down just yet.

B-2A Spirit bogged down by a few things...1) the AI's insistence on diving into bombing runs. 2) Lack of a decent convincing cockpit but I’m working on that.

Bird of Prey due for release when the AI learns to take off without crashing! Its a mass issue that needs sorting. Then there's a few cockpit related things and some final textures then its all sorted.

U-2 Pack coming along nicely although i need some serious help with a camera script etc.

Berkut Pack just needs a working cockpit and it ready to be released.

AWACS Its in the middle of a re-skinning.

A330/340 Pack On hold atm - but will definitely be put to a front burner once the BOP and U2 projects reach final BETA.

A-12 Avenger II is still a Work in Progress...slow simmer for now.

C-17 Globemaster III model is 80% but I need to collaborate with a scripter to accommodate all the features people have requested.

RQ-4A and other UAV's On pause, Again I need scripting help. If someone would like to help contact me via PM.

IL-76/A-50 Models are shaping up but I’ve decided to freeze it until the completion of the C-17 so the scripts can be reused.

Military Comms pack has been frozen...apologies for this. I know a few people have been asking for this but I’m probably going to release it "as is" or as individual addons. It’s stalled really from boredom on my part.

Military Buildings Pack has gone the way of the Dodo too I’m afraid. This may be resurrected at some point but for the moment its in my file archive. This includes the Bunker and emplacement packs

Ghille Sniper has been cancelled.

WWII Camo Nets has been cancelled but may rise again in the v2 of camo nets

Anything else not mentioned above is pretty much dead or frozen.  Apologies if this disappoints anyone but i'll do my best to make sure things come out in a good time frame.

I suggest you read again the locked thread where this happened. I was not the one that implied you stole anything. I pointed out to the accuser on that thread that what he thought was stolen could be seen in pics on your team's site.

Not many people appear to have read past the first page. If you are offended by my comment imagine how i feel about recieving emails about it stealin my own work.

I'm not going to argue with you about it. Just be careful in future what you post can and usually is interpreted in another way than you intended.

No problem, Rock, just wanted to let you know that I'm with ya, and that I hope that people will read Jahve's post on the third page of the closed thread, and Avon... argh, although I deleted the contents of my post, I still think your post on the closed thread was ill-timed, you should have waited for TOW to let the dust settle, and then at the end when cooler heads prevailed post the referral to Rock's site, you just added fire to that fuel and managed to disturb someone who didn't have anything to do with it...

About your dive-bombing problem with the B2... Would it be possible to make a script which starts the plane in-game at a higher altitude than normal, then spoofs the planes AI into thinking its flying lower than it actually is? The AI would probably still go through the motions of diving to engage the target, but it wouldnt be doing it at 200 feet at least.

Technically the B2 wouldn't even have to be in visual range to attack a target. So, if you give it a massive range for it's weapons, i don't think the diving is a problem.
