RaVe 0 Posted July 3, 2004 Hey all, I have GOTY edition and just went to play resistance with friends.....I remember someone on Gamespy told me I needed the 1.96 patch and that was it....so I downloaded it and installed.....we played but we were GETTING a little error saying something about a bmp missing file or something.......so......can someone help me? hellfish6 7 Posted July 3, 2004 Moving to Troubleshooting. Download the Ultimate Upgrade - if you're missing the BMP-2, it'll be included with this. I had this happen to me once - I started having addons dissappear and I couldn't figure out why. RaVe 0 Posted July 8, 2004 Well i think you guys arent understanding me........I have the GOTY edition, and i usually play with my friend, we have the BMP2 tank, or whatever it is, and it says stuff like "Cannot load mission : Missing addons BMP2", but the weird part is, we can still play the mission, so we play but the error doesnt really do anything to us......it just says it then we gotta click ok then it goes away, but then it comes back then we exit it again..........i dont know why i would need a cwc patch if i have GOTY.......I got the 1.96 patch. Heatseeker 0 Posted July 9, 2004 Well, this may be a long shot but there are diferent patches for Goty or regular OPF+Red Hammer+resistance. Do you have the right patch? Is the BMP2 available in your game? (the one with a heavy machinegun instead of the cannon), If not maybe you could extract the file from the CD and put it in your addon folder, i believe this addon is in both your resistance addon folder and you "normal" addon folder. Placebo 29 Posted July 9, 2004 If you're downloading missions/addons from the net often you will get a missing addon error message, in most cases it does no harm, there is a way to stop the error appearing but it means manually editing each mission that you are getting the error on so really not worth it If you're only using BIS content and nothing from the community then that's a different story of course.
