Blanco 0 Posted June 17, 2004 I don't know if this is mentioned before (Yes, I did a search), Two ideas about trigger improvements: - SHAPE : An option where you can draw the shape of your trigger like the lassotool in Photoshop - ACTIVATION : Detected by single unit / group. A dropmenu where you can select the type of unit (tank/car/man/air/ship/...)

A dropmenu where you can select the type of unit (tank/car/man/air/ship/...) I'd rather prefer more output from the trigger in this case. Actually there's only one array comming back from the trigger: list trigger or thislist or list this I could imagine getting an uber array with subarrays here - like: [detected_list,detector_list] detected_list would be the already existing: list trigger sorted in order of their unit's detection time (like it is now) while: detector_list should be the list of units who detected somebody in the trigger. Maybe it could even get further complex to put each unit of these two arrays into further subarrays, where there is first: the unit itself followed by: all units it was detected by, or the other way around: [the_unit_itself,all_units_it_has_detected] :edit - just forgot to add: The way i suggested (requested), you would still be able to stick the trigger's activation to individual units - just a little bit more complex and a bit more you could do with that lists then. ~S~ CD
Harnu 0 Posted June 18, 2004 Maybe for the shape, being able to drag and move certain points on a circle trigger to change the shape aswell?

Eda Mrcoch 0 Posted June 18, 2004 That asks for somewhat like 3D preview with visible trigger boundaries (colored tresspassable fences maybe ). Adjusting exact shape to your needs could be tricky in 2D (e.g. if you need to make trigger area covering specific non-square building). That leads me to triggers with specified z-axis interval (for marking second floors, flight levels and so on). Maybe there should be a new pinned thread, concerning non-scripting editing suggestions (triggers, WP, markers etc), or should this topic theme fit in "Improved Unit Editor" ?
