orson 0 Posted June 9, 2004 How can i increase the off road performance of a vehicle ? I have a feeling its all tied to the parent class or vehicle type. Example , i am making a tracked vehicle with a top speed on the flat of roughly 75 kmph , but when my vehicle starts to climb a hill it really drops in speed in comparison to the BIS orriginals and other addons . Footmunch 0 Posted June 9, 2004 If it's having trouble going uphill, you could try reducing the weight slightly, and seeing what effect it has. However, this may make it more 'bouncy' on level ground.
orson 0 Posted June 9, 2004 Indeed that is what i did initially , the model in question is the PUKF Warrior which i based around an M2A2 , giving it a similar weight but if i put the 2 in a head to head race up a hill the M2A2 pulls away . Is there nothing to add in the config to give a better performance ?
Footmunch 0 Posted June 9, 2004 There are some ground handling parameters in the cpp, but I can't remember them off hand. You should be able to dePBO the BIS M2A2, and check if there are any particular extensions to the APC class in there.

SelectThis 0 Posted June 9, 2004 In the cpp change the value for the following terrainCoef=3.0; the lower the number the faster it will go off road. SelectThis
