I'm not sure how well the connecting rods will work, but thats not the point... AEF now has competition to see who can release first!! Locke@Germany 0 Posted September 30, 2004 hopefully the lack of news is bound to intensive playtesting just before the release
Apollo 0 Posted September 30, 2004 Quote[/b] ]hopefully the lack of news is bound to intensive playtesting just before the release It probably is ,and i don't want to whine to much ,it's just that im very interrested in their addons as they looks extremely nice and it's IMO worth it to be intterested in their progress. I can't wait till they are done. I'm probably not the only one.
kerosene 0 Posted September 30, 2004 It'd be cool if someone could add a railway to Nogova or Tonal once its released.
kavoven 4 Posted September 30, 2004 Just for those who can't wait : Phoenix Island and the Train Addon are in the final testing stage, the train will be properly complete this weekend, but I won't promise anything, because I don't know if any bugs will appear. I've finished the island so far, and at the moment we have divided it into sectors and are looking for bushes on tracks or streets, ore some houses which do not stand where they should just be patient, we're a very small team and each one of us has a life OUTSIDE (^^) the computer
Apollo 0 Posted September 30, 2004 Thx for the update koven ,we understand youre restraints as you have mentioned them before ,it's just us dying in anticipation needing and update once and awhile. Take youre time to do it right ,just throw the loyal dog's a bit of progress update once and awhile to shut our nagging.

stevevcb 3 Posted October 1, 2004 I'm starting to get giddy with excitement with all the cool stuff that's in the works lately. First thing I'll have to do with the trains is see if a T72 on the tracks will derail them
wongkeanwah 0 Posted October 8, 2004 Hello, Just a suggestion here: Often times on trains you will see multiple engines on one train. I believe they are used as braking... For an example see the link at the bottom of this post. If it wouldn't take too much time, do you think it would be at all possible to make extra engines that would act like the cargo cars? I mean an inactive cosmetic one that could be attached behind the main active engine? Two models would be needed, one forwards and one facing backwards. I hope you understand what I mean, If not, then these links should suffice: http://www.carrtracks.com/136nwcst.htm http://www.photovault.com/Link....2P15_12 This one is really helpful: http://users.adelphia.net/~mattlawler/indexnn.html Now, I know these are North American trains, but I do believe the same could be done with European trains. Just a suggestion, Keep up the good work. How about this? MRT

Did you also take a T-72 through town and smashed cars around with it? (oops... I think I did that in the first few days I installed OFP, LOL!). Well, with Liberation's vid out about the train, I guess it's a race of which train makes it into OFP Public station first... (Because AEF also released a video ages ago which featured a train, lol). Let's just hope the race will be over soon and we won't get disappointed with the results... full steam ahead!

They look both really good and each will fit into it's own scenario (Lib-train is a nice steamed one and the AEF-train is more the modern counterpart). I just hope that they will be released  MEDICUS
-ZG-BUZZARD 0 Posted October 9, 2004 My point as well, I just remembered train history when in the beginning there used to be train races... hard to imagine but true... I'm not saying both should be competitive... it was just me getting overly anxious again, hope I'm not misunderstood... Btw, both trains can be considered contemporary (of each other) 'cause steam trains were used for much longer then one might think, actually!

kavoven 4 Posted October 10, 2004 But there is one point for us: Our weels are turning and we can also drive up and down a hill But I think this video was good for the team, because it motivated the train people so far, that we're now in final testing stage
