Wilco 944 Posted June 5, 2004 Well, as the topic says, I picked this game up today for m X-Box, and this game is great. Â The first step is MOUT training, you learn the basics of movement, fireing positions, grenades, then you do a simulated mission with MILES gear. Â After the training is complete you get a cutscene that takes you into the real action. Â You are introduced to the two fireteams you control. Â They swear, talk crap, and make remarks underfire. Â The game includes the Havok Karma Engine, so objects shatter from bullet fire(Couches, tables, Â crates, cars) which in return knocks down the protection status of your troops behind it, and ragdoll feature is implemented. Â Right now I'm in the middle of the first level and is set in a fictional Middle Eastern Country. Â If your into squad control type games you have to pick this up, it's not turn bases either, so no lame waiting. Wilco 944 Posted June 5, 2004 You can't indivually shoot, not sure about vehicles, though it has on the main screen a video of guys getting out of a Hummer. Moe to come, I have to mourn the death of Reagan
Nathanz 0 Posted June 5, 2004 You can't indivually shoot I'm fine with that as long as the AI doesn't keep running into walls but from what iv herd the AI is top notch.
tankieboy 0 Posted June 5, 2004 FSW Video Right click and save as or use a d/l manager.
Wilco 944 Posted June 5, 2004 AI is extremely smart, and the way the game is played shows it, they take cover in certain positions automatically, and fire automatically when in the open, and if their line of fire is blocked by a friendly, they cease fire and aim their weapon to the ground until it is open. Baphomet 0 Posted June 5, 2004 Sounds interesting only I'm not really a big fan of military doctrine or proceedure. I do my own thing... Secondly. FPS games are generally shit to play on controllers.

Wilco 944 Posted June 5, 2004 Well, it looks like you can unlock a version of the game similar to the U.S. Army Version with a cheat. It's harder then the civilian version, real harder.
iNeo 0 Posted June 5, 2004 Well, it looks like you can unlock a version of the game similar to the U.S. Army Version with a cheat. Â It's harder then the civilian version, real harder. So that you shoot by yourself, or what do you mean?

You mean with a cheat you can unlock a harder version ? I don't think the US army use this for training or anything.
Wilco 944 Posted June 5, 2004 Similar, it has the US Army Logo, you can choose the number of OPFOR, Civilians, choose wether your men are trained or untrained, Set up ROE, Map Changes, Squad Assesment, and you get rucksacks for reload in combat instead of regular play where you have to go back to a Cavcaz(SP?) center. theavonlady 2 Posted June 6, 2004 Wow! What brilliant team AI! Watching that movie was like accompanying a squad in battle. We once discussed improving OFP's AI's to have some elementary horse-sense but this seems to be very detailed and accurate.
