Chatting/speaking

Is OFP2 going to have integrated microphone in the game? If so, how about making Direct speak with the microphone so you can talk to people that are close to you and such, and enemies can listen into the conversation and such. I don't have any other chatting suggestions at this time, but i'll be adding more to this first post ,while adding the latest post to inform you.

That system was available in v1.0 but was scrapped when Directplay was ditched. I am not sure what the problem was though.

I can't see why they would not put it in the sequel as it was a brilliant idea. It gives you the chance to communicate with either:

- vehicle passengers;

- people within 50m;

- your squad;

- your side;

-everybody.

Exactly like the text based system.

2) This feature is still available using sockets netcode.  I do not know why it wasn't integrated into directplay though.

You mean the other way around. It is still present with DirectPlay but was not converted to work with Sockets.
