j-man 0 Posted April 22, 2004 It seems that when ever I try to apply a texture to my model, the texture wont stay Here's what I do: 1.I select a face 2.I enter texture mode 3.I select the area I want to texture 4.I load my texture (which is a .pac image) 5.I press 'B' My texture apears on the model, but when I exit texture mode, select another face, and enter texture mode again, I cant select another area to texture. When I drag the box around the area I want textured, my previous texture fills the box I just dragged. I hope this dosn't sound too confusing
Guest Posted April 22, 2004 You have to leave texture mode then select a new face.
j-man 0 Posted April 22, 2004 I've done that. I leave texture mode, I select a new face, and when I go back into texture mode, I can't add a new texture, I can only edit the one I placed before.
Footmunch 0 Posted April 22, 2004 Right click on the texture, and select the Load command to change the tex. Note that the new tex will appear in the same proportions as the old tex, so you may want to 'correct aspect' also.
CLeck 0 Posted August 21, 2005 I've done that. I leave texture mode, I select a new face, and when I go back into texture mode, I can't add a new texture, I can only edit the one I placed before. I am having the same problem, i cannot change textures, just change the firstone. if i load anotherone it replaces the first one. -.- plus, i dont know if it's supposed to be like this but the texture isnt applied directly onto the face but it places itself in the middle of the box. (??) Searched for days now, noone seems to know what do do. :/ Slightly different angle:
Planck 1 Posted August 21, 2005 Once you have selected the face, or faces, you want to texture. Enter texture mode and draw the rectangle around the face, or faces for texturing. Next, right click on the rectangle and choose Load Texture, select the texture you want to load and hey presto it will be loaded into the rectangle. However the texture will not be applied to the selected faces till you press 'B'.........Background mapping. If you then want to texture other faces you need to select these faces first and then follow the above procedure again. Planck

When i select other faces after have texturing 1 face, i deselect by clicking outside the crate after pressing F4.. then, i select a new face and does the dance again, but it dosnt work. i am doing excactly what it says in all tutorials or that you said. but it dont work. the texture wont allow another texture to be loaded without terminating the first applied texture. JdB 151 Posted August 21, 2005 I am having the same problem, i cannot change textures, just change the firstone. if i load anotherone it replaces the first one. -.- That's normal, Oxygen cannot load more than 1 texture in the same view screen at any given time. If you want an advanced texturing application than buy 3DSMAX, or pray that you will magicly be awarded with Oxygen Full (the chance for that is zero), so better get used to this kind of texturing
