Veovis 0 Posted April 11, 2004 I've been having a bunch of problems for a long time, but now they happen every time I play instead of one out of ten. Two are sound errors. Whenever there is a lot going on in a mission, my sound usually crahses to extremely loud static. The other is that my sound will at any time drop a few octaves, like I'm in eternal slow motion (sound-wise) As for night-vision, I have no color at night. It is only black and white. I didn't notice this until my friend showed me what it looked like on his. If anybody knows anything about any of these I would be most appreciative.
Heatseeker 0 Posted April 12, 2004 Cant help about the sound but... the reason why it looks diferent on your friends may be because he havent updated OPF or because he's card is old pos , it is suposed to look "black and white", its a nice efect introduced by BIS in some patch/version that i cant remember. Ah, yes it is normal for environmental sound to drop when there is action/shooting going on .

What soundcard do you have?

theavonlady 2 Posted April 13, 2004 Best bet is a new audio card, even an inexpensive one. the old SB Lives have proven nothing but trouble to many an OFP player (and other PC gamers as well).
threat.at 0 Posted April 17, 2004 Just look here! THANKS to Avon's Homepage I could solve my Crackling Problem - I have a SB Live Platinum and it had to do with the last mentioned "Turbo"-Settings in the registry.
