-BlackDeath- 0 Posted April 5, 2004 I know there are a bazillion hummers out there but i am just getting tired at looking at the dark old bis camo scheme so i went to the base and took a few pictures of a hummer and am currently handpainting the bis hummer to match. Here is some of the pictures of it so far i have been working on it 6 hours and in the end there will be new wheel textures entirely new body textures, and actual mud textures / dirty textures etc etc... Anyways post some constructive feedback i havent got to the sides yet and there are some things i want to sharpen/add to the textures but i just wanted to post some pics ot get some good feedback on do's and donts. Thanks heres the pics. Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 Sincerely, BlackDeath
lee_h._oswald 0 Posted April 5, 2004 Never show an addon in woodland camo on desert island, it can´t look good there. Take Nogova or the jungle part of Tonal. MfG Lee
stgn 39 Posted April 5, 2004 I think its looks good so far but I think it should be a tiny bit darker. STGN
-BlackDeath- 0 Posted April 5, 2004 Yeah i am thinking the same thing but it is the actual metal color on our hmmwv's here at wh ford RTC although i think i am gonna darken them in the end just so that it looks better in game -BlackDeath
-BlackDeath- 0 Posted April 6, 2004 I darkened the textures by 36% this is the outcome it looks fairly close to marfy's 5t truck in its alpha stage which it is in i havent begun the weathering sides or wheels yet just to state that again. Anyone with any suggestions please post Picture of the bis hmmwv and 5t with my hmmwv and marfy's 5t (Note: None of marfys textures have been used, just so i dont get all those marfys been robbed posts ) Sincerely, -BlackDeath
acidcrash 0 Posted April 6, 2004 looks good, was just wondering the other day if anyone was doing a HMMWV in the same camoflage as Sigma's M1's and Marfys 5 tonners will you be making it "dirty" (mud etc around the bottom) or leave it squeeky clean showroom form? bmgarcangel 0 Posted April 6, 2004 hey looks tight dude...just worry about the size of that picture for the moderators don't like that Other than that comment, seriously, it does look tight and I can't wiat to download it..you need any help? ~Bmgarcangel
llauma 0 Posted April 6, 2004 looks good, was just wondering the other day if anyone was doing a HMMWV in the same camoflage as Sigma's M1's and Marfys 5 tonners will you be making it "dirty" (mud etc around the bottom) or leave it squeeky clean showroom form? You need to change the tyres for the jeep also if you want to make muddy tyres. They use the same tyre "pattern" texture
SNIPER_SKULL 0 Posted April 6, 2004 looking good blackdeath
-BlackDeath- 0 Posted April 6, 2004 @Acidcrash Yes i am planning on making it wethered meaning good ol mud etc on it on the bottom @bmgarcangel Nah i appreciate the offer though, but i think i got it under control @Llauma Already am planning on that my friend wipman sent me a nice looking wheel and tire texture which i may use i am gonna add it for now until i decide for sure but it looks dang good . @Everyone Thanks for all the constructive and polite feedback Sincerely, BlackDeath
Sgt. Stryker 0 Posted April 6, 2004 make 2 versions, a squeeky clean version and a muddy version, good work dude.
-BlackDeath- 0 Posted April 6, 2004 @Sgt. Stryker You know thats not a half bad idea like have a "HMMWV(PATROL)" version with dirt on it and maybe even some back packs hangin on it :-O or barbwire spool on the hood so many things i would love to have but i'm not exactly a modeler or atleast i suck very badly at it, i am a texturer and thats about it :-\ anyways good idea. -BlackDeath
-BlackDeath- 0 Posted April 6, 2004 More pics i recently got done with the front and back of the side and changed the wheel texture thanks to wipman. Heres a few pics of how far i have gotten in 18 hours (NOTE: These textures are all still in alpha stage) Pic 1 Pic 2 Hope you like ready for some comments. -BlackDeath EDIT: Fixed Pic
-BlackDeath- 0 Posted April 7, 2004 Ok. I have a question. I got a good picture of the side of a Armored slantback hmmwv. Now question to you the community is whether i should use real textureing or continue handdrawing them. Here is a pic for comparison. (Note: i know the texture isnt completely aligned right around the window and very front so ya dont have to tell me ) Question -BlackDeath ::::::::EDIT:::::::: Anyone here that can model that will model me a proper brush guard on these hmmwv's or that can assist in the modeling aspects of this pack. Sincerely, -BlackDeath
coporal_punishment 0 Posted April 8, 2004 Hand draw them, that's what I suggest
Wilco 944 Posted April 8, 2004 Hand draw them, then give them to me! I can add some scratch effects and such on textures if you like
-BlackDeath- 0 Posted April 8, 2004 I'll keep that in consideration Wilco thanks for the offer. I think i will texture an version for real pics and a version from my hand drawn textures and release them both for use by mods. Or maybe create my own pack of proper armored hmmwv's thing is getting a good modeler to model some certain things which i am not exactly good at. -BlackDeath

Ironsight 1 Posted April 20, 2004 New textures on the HUMMVEE pack look cool maybe add an ambulance in this new cammo. Like this one: Or this one Would be really cool
Bobcatt666 0 Posted April 20, 2004 New textures on the HUMMVEE pack look cool maybe add an ambulance in this new cammo. Like this one: They were done, for a b pack of the woodland and des humvees, just folks are not paitent enough and starting the spread the folks working on the pack thin. Kinda demanding other projects be dropped or started before the first pack is even completed. Pretty much all in due time.. I got a ton of other addons to work on that are being delayed on the east side for working on this pack. To cut down confussion seeing this is the same pack of humvees should use one thread for them. Now have to keep track of more than one thread for bug reports... And give updates on two threads for the same addon is time consuming as well as confusing. =(
