PinBall 1 Posted March 8, 2004 In my mission briefing, some of the waypoints I have setup in the mission editor are displayed on the map in blue (as well as the line between each waypoint) Obviously I dont want it to show any mission waypoints. What is doing this and how can I correct it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Thanks
sanctuary 19 Posted March 8, 2004 Try to see on those waypoint properties , in the mission editor, if you have not set something like "always show the waypoint" . I am not sure of the english exact sentence in the editor, as my OFP is not set in english , but this option exist, so give a look to see if you have not selected it in those "displayed on map" waypoints

PinBall 1 Posted March 9, 2004 Thanks guys it was the waypoint settings I'd clicked on Always Show. Changed to Never Show and problem fixed. One other thing the waypoints don't display anymore, but I have three objects (2 west open tents and a flag pole that do appear on the map in the briefing. These aren't the only tents on the map, but they are the only ones displayed. Any idea how I can make them not appear, other than deleting from my mission. Taurus 20 Posted March 9, 2004 ofp shows objects that are near the player. e.g if you move away from the tents they will no longer be shown (the objects will be out of visual range) I do not think you can override this feature.
PinBall 1 Posted March 9, 2004 Thanks. I'll check tonight and see if I can move them or the player further away from each other.
BattleBorn -WOLF- 0 Posted March 11, 2004 The Taurus is right there Pinball, they will always show up on the map if your player is close to the object, much in the same way as enemy do if you have spotted them... tis a bugger and it would be great to be able to override this feature but unfortunatley you can't...
