Escape from prison how?

Recommended Posts

According to prisma's official strategy guide I shoud wait until all look away

and then run straight to the BMP enter it in the back and then switch to gunners

position and shout all nearby soldiers.

I encounter two problems with this.

First there is a soldier just 3-5 meters from me slightly to the left. I can't see him and tell if he looks away. But if he does he should be looking either at the BMP

or me. How can I get past him?

Two by moving straight to the left I automatically find me inside the BMP (why?) but then I have no actions available and can't swithch to gunner. When I stop I always get shoot

and can't see anything.

According to the guide I'm supposed to run up a hill diagonally. How can I do that when it's

dark and I can't see anything?

You should be able to just run and get a rifle and get into the BMP no problem. The soldiers here seem to be a little slow on the uptake. They'll shout something in Russian at you and do nothing to you for a bit.

Once inside the BMP, just go into driver position and drive in the direction the BMP is already headed. Press L to put your lights on, although it makes you easier to spot. Follow the road. Once you find yourself slowing down, get out and leg it up the hill on foot DIAGONALLY.

You could always stay in the BMP and blast the soldiers in the town and try to take on the other BMP that comes rumbling along (like I do biggrin_o.gif ).

If that doesn't help, try searching. There are numerous threads about this.

Later!

My preferred means of escape is to turn and run back towards the helicopter after being dropped off. To the left, in the archway, is a PK and an AK. Grab either one, PK for preference, and hose down all the goons in the area. Then grab the chopper and fly south to the second, smaller base which Armstrong and his boys liberated in the previous mission, Counterstrike.

I always ran around the behild you start near. In the corridor leading through it you can pick up a weapon and mags. And then I shoot my way out.

Be sure not to stay stationary in the BMP for too long. Spetnaz are sneaky buggers that like to place satchel charges right next to you...

Hmm I just ran for the BMP, immediately got into the drivers seat and immediately plowed down the road ramming anyone who was in my way. As soon as I got far enough I ditched the BMP and made the rest of the way on foot.

Don't stay in the BMP too long or you'll get blasted by a hind.

Wait until later, run for the BMP, get in as driver, get within site of the Hind, get in as gunner, MG the pilots down as they try to get in the Hind, MG anyone else you can see down, get out and get in the chopper and pray nobody RPG's you while the engines are warming up. THank god the Hind has an inbuilt compass.

I used to do the method where you run for the AK74 or PK, but the BMP/Hind method is easier and quicker - I was walking around for hours.

My favorite way is to run to the russian chopper instead of the BMP .

This way you can destroy all this russian base , and destroy the other russian units that will arrive after you alerted everyone very easily.

Then after you have just won the war on your own smile_o.gif , you can then fly to the us position .

MG the pilots?!? Use HEAT shells and missiles biggrin_o.gif .

But then you risk hitting the Hind, I keep the HEAT and missles for RPG troops.

A little late but my 2 € cents.

When you were lead into the compound before reaching the tent run for the BMP and get in as driver. You may run down some guys but if you run into the tent the cutsence is triggered and you just stand there.

Better drive the BMP towards that Hind on the other side of the camp, running down the pilots is prefered. Disembark from the BMP and get into the hind as Pilot, start up the engines and set manual fire. Then you can easily mow down the camp and that BMP that comes up the road.

Once done that call it a day and fly south using terain as cover. There are some Shilkas around and taking them on is not recommend.

Fly south till you spot the first US units, find yourself a nice base and land. Once you disembark that nice cutscene: "Don't shoot!...." comes up.

As a remark i also bet this mission just by grapping a AK74 in the hallway after being set into the tent. Run from the camp and hide in some bushes. You know the drill...

OFP is sometimes very unrealistic.
